In 1927, the fledgling Buick division of General Motors attracted one of the most influential auto
designers in the world. His name was Harley Earl, and his designs and ideas shaped automotive
history for generations to come.
Today, the same company that brought us tailfins and two-tone paint
is trying to recapture the spirit of its founder, turning its eye towards bold yet graceful designs.
Buick has overhaul its lineup and the Lucerne is the second new car, following last year's
introduction of the Lacrosse. In keeping with tradition, the 2006 Buick Lucerne is positioned as an
affordable entry-level full-size luxury car. We find the Lucerne to be a plush, highly competent
full-size sedan at a compelling price.

- I just bought the 06 Lacross 2 weeks ago and I love it! I’ve been a GM person for years and this
is the nicest GM car I’ve owned. I took a trip to sanDiego and I felt I could drive another couple
of hours!

- I am impressed with this automobile. Fit and finish was excellent, much better than previous
years. I did not see any mis-aligned panels on the interior, like I have saw on the upper console of
the Lacrosse model. Acceleration was very good for a heavy car. The ride was super smooth-soft,
handling was great. Interior was very tight and rattle free, as expected for a new car.

- Nicest car I've owned. Black w/ tan interior, good head turning quotient. Interior control layout
is nice and readable. Quiet road ride and stable. MPG drops a little over 65 mph, which it goes to
quickly. I travel in and out of city frequently. No problem about parking anywhere.
